Our Tees Component

We would like to welcome our new arrival to the Tees Components family! Our Tees Component has had a colt foal in May 2009. Suggestions for names are welcome.

Tees Components (1996, GB) (Risk Me – Lady Warninglid (Ela-Mana-Mou))

His career started with his first win in 1999 over 2 miles at Wetherby, which would become his favourite course, and he went on to perform at Doncaster, Newcastle and Kelso. In 2001 he had a great win at Chepstow ahead of favourite Calling Brave, and came a close second to Our Armageddon a year later at Newcastle over hurdles. “A big, scopey horse”,“a high-class recruit to hurdling” and “a horse with a very sizeable engine” were just some of the descriptions he collected from the Racing Post. After a leg injury he made a remarkable comeback, at the age of 11, with a fantastic win at 50-1 at Haydock in September 2006, which anyone who backed him that day will remember for a long time, and followed that by coming second to Juniper Girl at York, “conceding the best part of two stone to the winner”. A fine horse who will be remembered.

Keep an eye on the home page news reel for more news on our horses and their races.
